Purpose: This study aimed to explore influencing factors of nurses¡¯ perception of legislation for advanced practice nurses¡¯ roles focusing on clinical nurses¡¯ satisfaction and the importance of advanced practice acts.
Methods: The 117 participants in this study were clinical nurses in one general hospital. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson¡¯s correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis.
Results: A significant proportion of health care professionals expressed positive cognition of the legislative acts for advanced practice nurses¡¯ roles. Satisfaction (?=.39) and importance (?=.17) were significant factors, explaining 35.0% of the variance in nurses¡¯ legislation perception of advanced practice nurses¡¯ roles (F=21.81 p£¼.001).
Conclusion: The findings indicate that the importance, satisfaction, and contribution of advanced practice nurses¡¯ acts, and legislation of their roles are recognized. Results indicate a need for further development of advanced practice nurses¡¯ roles to overcome the gaps identified through this research.
